Trans World Announces Sale of Art & Antiques
ATLANTA — April 10, 2006 – Art & Antiques magazine has been sold by Atlanta-based Trans World Publishing, Inc. to CurtCo Publishing of Malibu, CA, according to Trans World President Jay Perkins. CurtCo produces a portfolio of ultra-affluent publications such as the Robb Report, Worth and ShowBoats International.
Trans World, best known for its turnaround publishing success stories over the last 30 years, will continue to publish, alongside the affiliated Billian Publishing, its various consumer and trade publications as well as their medical data group.
“Art & Antiques is a natural fit with CurtCo’s affluent publishing family,” says Perkins. “And Trans World can now devote our many energies to enhancing the Boating World line and pursuing some really exciting new opportunities that we hope to announce soon.”
Art & Antiques was purchased by Trans World Publishing in 1991.
